Tomoko Sayama is a Consultant with The Japan Partnership, based in Tokyo. 

Tomoko has over 10 year’s experience in executive recruitment, gained in Japan, North Asia and Europe.  She currently conducts searches for multinational companies operating in Japan. Her experience covers mid-level to senior executive searches in various functions including marketing, finance, human resources, quality and consulting.

Prior to joining The Japan Partnership, she spent two years with General Electric in Tokyo and prior to that, she was with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, also in Tokyo.

For three years she worked with the United Nations in New York and Bosnia-Herzegovena, were she was responsible for recruiting mid-career consultants and financial professionals as well as addressing personnel issues and providing counseling. She was also Program Officer for the Japanese Emergency NGOs in Sarajevo and Gorazde.

Tomoko-san has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota and a Master’s Degree in Social Science from Long Island University.

She is fluent in English and Japanese.
